What CareGuide WA is

CareGuide WA provides Washington State training and regulatory information for Home Care Aides, drawn from official sources (DSHS curriculum, WAC/RCW, DOH pages) with citations.

It is NOT medical, legal, or employment advice, and it is not a substitute for your client's care plan, your supervisor, a delegating nurse, or emergency services. For any client-specific or judgment question, follow the care plan and call your supervisor. In an emergency, call 911.

Your responsibilities

Never enter client names, addresses, birthdays, or any identifying details. This app is not for storing client information.

Certification dates and deadlines shown in Me are estimates based on what you entered — always verify with DOH (360-236-2700) or Provider Credential Search.

Answers include a 'verified as of' date. Rules change; the linked official source is always authoritative.

Privacy

No account is required and none is created. Your profile (language, provider type, dates, phone numbers you enter) is stored only on your device (browser storage) and is never uploaded.

Questions you ask are sent to our server to generate an answer and are not stored with your identity. Questions we could not answer are logged anonymously for content improvement, with automatic scrubbing of phone numbers, emails, and number sequences.

Answer feedback (👍/👎) is logged as anonymous counts only — never with your question text.

There are no ads and no third-party trackers.

Deleting your data

Everything you entered lives on your device: clear this site's browser data (or use the browser's 'clear site data') and it is gone. Server logs are anonymous and auto-expire per Google Cloud Logging retention (30 days).

Liability

The service is provided as-is, without warranty. To the maximum extent permitted by law, CareGuide WA and its operators are not liable for actions taken based on information in this app. Authority always rests with the cited official sources, your client's care plan, and your supervising professionals.
