1. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing or using CareGuide WA (hca-guide.ai-biz.app), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Use. If you do not agree, please do not use the app.

2. What CareGuide WA Is

CareGuide WA provides Washington State training and regulatory information for Home Care Aides, drawn from official sources (DSHS curriculum, WAC/RCW, DOH) with citations.

It is NOT medical, legal, or employment advice, and it is not a substitute for your client's care plan, your supervisor, a delegating nurse, or emergency services. For any client-specific or clinical judgment question, follow the care plan and call your supervisor. In an emergency, call 911.

3. AI-Generated Content

Answers in the Ask section are generated by an AI system using official Washington State sources. While we strive for accuracy, AI-generated content may contain errors or omissions.

All answers include a 'verified as of' date and a citation to the source document. The linked official source is always authoritative over the app's answer. Rules change; always verify time-sensitive information directly with DOH (360-236-2700) or the relevant agency.

4. Your Responsibilities

Never enter client names, addresses, birthdays, Social Security numbers, or any personally identifying information about the people you care for. This app is not designed or authorized to store client information.

Certification dates and deadlines shown in the Me tab are estimates based on what you entered — always verify with DOH or Provider Credential Search before acting on them.

You agree to use CareGuide WA only for lawful purposes and in a manner that does not harm others or interfere with the app's normal operation.

5. Optional Account

Creating an account is optional. If you create one, you agree that the information you provide is accurate to the best of your knowledge, and you are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your credentials.

You may delete your account at any time from the Me tab. For details on what information is collected and how it is used, see our Privacy Policy.

6. Intellectual Property

The CareGuide WA application, interface design, and original content are owned by Startup Consulting Inc. and protected by applicable copyright and intellectual property laws.

AI-generated answers may reference official Washington State sources (DSHS, WAC/RCW, DOH). Those source materials remain the property of their respective owners. Citations and links are provided to direct users to the authoritative originals.

7. Disclaimer of Warranties

CareGuide WA is provided on an 'as is' and 'as available' basis without warranties of any kind, express or implied. We do not warrant that the app will always be available, uninterrupted, secure, or error-free, or that answers will be complete, accurate, or current.

The cited official sources, your client's care plan, and your supervising professionals are always the authoritative reference for care decisions.

8. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, Startup Consulting Inc. and its officers, employees, and agents will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of CareGuide WA or your reliance on information provided in the app.

In no event shall our total liability to you for any claim exceed the amount you paid to use the service in the twelve months preceding the claim, or $100 USD, whichever is less.

9. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Washington, United States, without regard to conflict of law principles.

10. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. If we make material changes, we will update the effective date above. Continued use of CareGuide WA after changes are posted means you accept the updated Terms.
